Alke Schmidt, one of Mitre Studios artists has work in the Fishwick Papers exhibition in Hackney Wick, it runs from 1st of September till the 2nd of October.
Forman’s Smokehouse Gallery is proud to present The FishWick Papers, an exhibition of works by members of the studio East London Printmakers and other artisits, inspired by the liveliness and colour of the Hackney Wick area and its printmaking heritage. Artists have researched how Hackney Wick presents itself at this moment, the history and future of the area, the many lives of people we have never known and will never know, their trades and stories, and they have also taken inspiration from Fish Island and H Forman and Son’s Smokehouse itself.
